the story of :- My Muse:

(On the occasion  of one year anniversary of our blog I had written a short story, which didn't turn out to be a short story rather a reflective piece , I wanted to edit and present a better story out of it. Yet I felt doing against it, technically its my second short story, the first has to be revised and will be put here then. So hope it is readable to you.)  As the wind blew in through the open window of my room, I realised it was quite late at night. I peeped out to find my adopted street dogs were asleep. I could look at the houses visible from my window. I saw the last house biding goodbye to light. Now it was  my room and the street lights making darkness alive.  It was usual for my parents to find my room bright at midnight. But it was a strange surprise for my neighbours . The exams were over, so no study was suppose to take in my room. In general I did not stay wake to...

Comics is Power.

Sorry for not writing, well its no bloggers block or internet block, but final examination keeping me away... But I have a story to share, so again before my Philosophy exam I am writing a post. I had  best three days of  my life in Pink College.  Every thing happens for a reason, is what I told myself. Paulo Coelho says keep looking for omens and I always do. Well again the unrest broke out in neighboring districts. Our sessional test, which were already late compared to other departments got delayed. From 10th November they were delayed to 14th and now both papers were to happen on same day. We were angry because finals were from 20th. I being me did not study whole semester now I was really worried.  Behold test day, the blank me and my major mate went to give our exam. As soon as I entered the gates of Pink College my four eyes saw something. A banner which was not hanging there before (well  may be it was there for a whole week,...

(Well sorry for not writing for a while now. I was suffering from Blogger's Block ( lie, i did not find a topic to write about). I wanted to pen something about the Durga Puja but I felt every other Bong who writes blog must have written about it. So the Idea got dropped. I wanted to post the pictures of Pujas I visited but again Google has many better. Not being very religious I don't have the perfect Bong Connect with Goddess Durga. Well Durga Puja is not the topic.)  Today I pondered upon various articles and blogs at one go, so I found an interesting piece on  BBC  page about how language changes grows evolves with passage of time. Again let me inform its not about my deep thoughts on literature. But this piece of writing compelled me to write about the topic I was thinking about for a year or so. But before I start let me give you the background. Back to Durga Puja On  Dussehra that's Dashami in Bangla, my Mom and I went to see the Bisar...

A year Older, not Wiser...

Today we complete one year. Well by we I mean my blog, my reader friends and me. Last year on the very same day we began a journey of words without a Aim in mind. I feel so proud that I did not give up midway. Right now with 49 self-published blog posts and a year-full of twisted tale I feel glad and thankful.  I began the blog on a very significant day- 2nd of October is the birthday of Father of Our Nation- M.K Gandhi. Well last year I did not choose this day, just like everything it was a random day. Last year I was angry, frustrated, bored, proud, arrogant and a mad. Today I feel happy, open to life, interested, quite humble- but still mad. I cant say that I look back and I can claim a lot in my satchel, but yes my blog saved me. Few days back I read about writing therapy as the best way to reform and counsel the self. Indeed my blog has been a way to vent out my initial anger against Pink College, my anguish against lost chances and finally putting the p...

Education and me...

Many of my friends can trace back the first day of school in their memory but I cant. I loathed studying, I hated my first school, I feared my first teachers. For me everyday was a war in school. So why should my first day be different? As from the fables which my Mom tells to people I can make out that I was pain to her in my initial years of learning. I use to cry, shout, vomit, not visit washrooms till school was over. I had made their life pathetic. Sometimes I didn't step out of School Bus, other time I did not write a single classwork. For all this I used to get beaten up almost everyday at home.  The word 'Exam' has always created terror in mind of students, I was no exception.. I was no exception when the results came out. I was always below average, got the remarks very poor, can do better, my report cards always had C, D and occasional A and B's.. I could never remember, I had no interest in studies. The process of Education was n...

Time To STOP

Today I have no twisted tales, no happy go lucky girl post, no silly obsessions or an alternate view of world. Today I have anger bolted inside me for past three months. I am tired of being Ignorant or Blind to the happenings in my country. My Country India at its present state is going through a  difficult time. By difficult Time I mean "Very Difficult". The country is suffering from mass outbursts from different part of the country. We are having protests after protests.  I have lived in land of nature and revolt- Assam my state has been suffering her fair share of problems for more then thirty years now. Presently my state is having ethnic riots. Many have lost lives, home, jobs and sense of security. Some group claims sovereignty of Assam another separate state from Assam. Is Assam Cake that every other political and social group wants a piece ? Has anyone asked what we the common people want. In this claim of sovereign...

taught-ing Day....

Knowledge Thou Art Great   Our country celebrates Teachers Day on 5th of September every year. The day is celebrated on birthday of  respected Dr. Sarvepalli Radakrishnan the second President of our country. Every year all the schools big or small, government or private celebrate this one day to the fullest. Students all over the country try to make this day special for their beloved teachers in their own way.... I still remember my childhood days when whole night we use to wake up and make greetings card for our teachers. We use to have before hand instructions by teachers to not buy gifts. So my creative urges had been boosted on this days. My Alma mater D.P.S had its own tradition of teachers day. Till grade tenth I enjoyed each and every teachers day. But occasional disappointing moment came up too when Sunday fell on calendar. All my life in D.P.S I grew up with a dream to be teacher for one day. In gr...
